I have attempted a blog twice, but failed. Failed miserably. In fact, I never actually got to a point where I posted anything.
But, things are different this time. I have direction.
The first time I planned to blog I was going to write about raising my boys. The second time I planned to write a blog I thought I would have a family blog where I could update family and friends, both near and far, about my family. But this time, I have a different plan.
This time I plan to merge two of the things that I love and are important to me. I plan to merge my love of finding great ideas on Pinterest.com with what I love most in my life, MY FAMILY!
I hope to post something once a week. I want to post an idea I find on pinterest and attempted to make. But I hope to include my family in whatever "pin" I try. It could be a fun craft project with the kids, a delicious new recipe I attempted to cook and feed my family, or a new household hint that we try in an effort to improve our living space.
Why the merger? Because I have been pinning new ideas (crafts, recipes, household hints) to my virtual "idea boards" for months, but have actually attempted to complete very few "pins". A lot of my pins can be applied to my home or my family, so what better way to spend more time with my family than to include them in making all the fun pin ideas!
With a goal of once a week I will be pushed to actually try some of the great ideas and recipes I've been pinning all these months, and make me feel like I haven't been wasting all my time pinning ideas on pinterest. And more importantly, I'll be spending more time actually "doing" things with my family...I'll be more "present" with them as we attempt each new pin idea.
With all the pins I try I will also to post a link to where the idea came from...mostly other blogs, so readers can go to the original source of my projects. And, if you are wondering what kind of things I like, you can also follow my pinning on Pinterest.com.
Thanks for reading and welcome to my new blog!
